TRANSFER OWNER Application Setting

Description.  Transfer reservation charges to the Owner Account.

Property Determination. Activation of this parameter allows a property to transfer selected Owner and Authorized User charges to the Owner account in OVOS. Items are transferred with a payment type of direct bill (DB), and the owner can check out without going through the Front Office process and without setting up a separate owner account in AR.

Activation / Inactivation Rules. 

Available when the OPV_<version number> Opera Vacation Ownership license is active.

  • When the OPV_<version number> OPERA Vacation Ownership System license is active and the Reservations>Mandatory AR Account for Direct Bill Payment Type application is set to Reservation, Check In, or Reservation/Check In, then for a Owner/Auth. User reservation, a valid AR account must exist if Direct Bill payment method is being associated with a reservation.

 

  • If Transfer Owner parameter is active and transactions are transferred to Owner and then folio is settled to direct bill, then it will be sent to the Owner account.

    If Transfer Owner parameter is active and transactions are NOT transferred to Owner and then folio is settled to direct bill, then it will be sent to the an AR account. If there is no AR account, OPERA will prompt to create an AR account. Transactions will not be sent to a Owner account.

    If Transfer Owner parameter is NOT active and transactions are settled to direct bill, then it will be sent to the an AR account. If there is no AR account, OPERA will prompt to create an AR account. Transactions will not be sent to a Owner account.
